Video Poems

Video poems combine my affinity for words and imagery. For me, the two are often inseparable. When I write, I often “see” images or short scenes playing out in my mind. Writing – whether a poem or short story – becomes an act of translation, I am there to transcribe and describe what I witness. Mystery speaks and I listen. In that way, the message is provided, I have little control over its content, I focus on its form, color and texture. 

This on-going series of Video Poems center around universal themes of creativity and its process; nature and its wisdom; and the expansiveness and limitation of our humanity.
